Players who did not practice
Posted By: Chris Brown | Time: 3:36 PM ET

PLAYERS WHO DID NOT PRACTICE: Among the players that did not practice Tuesday were Roscoe Parrish, Josh Reed, Scott Mayle, Blake Costanzo, Patrick Estes, Marcus Buggs and Tim Massaquoi.

Head coach Dick Jauron would not name names as to who would be out for Thursday's game, but said the list of players out for this game would be longer than it was for the first preseason contest.

More details to come in our practice notes writeup on the home page later this afternoon.

Signing an OT does not appear imminent

SIGNING AN OT DOESN'T APPEAR IMMINENT: Head coach Dick Jauron was asked if signing another offensive tackle prior to Thursday night's preseason game was a possibility, but Jauron doesn't seem to like the idea of signing someone and then throwing them in a game cold.

"There's always a chance," said Jauron. "Whoever you sign, the odds of them playing are not good. The odds of them having any idea about what we do are not good at all, but it wouldn't preclude us from putting him in the game if we had to do it. But it would really limit what you would do and your expectations wouldn't be very high and it wouldn't be the best situation for the player or for us."

BUTLER AT RT WITH 2ND UNIT: Brad Butler is getting some reps in the closed morning walk thru at right tackle.

Butler played RT in college at the University of Virginia and looks as though he'll be getting some snaps there if Estes is not fit for action Thursday night.

Estes present at morning walk-thru

ESTES PRESENT AT A.M. WALK THRU: Bills RT Patrick Estes is in attendance at the team's closed morning walk thru.

He has a stocking-like wrap on his left leg, but is on his own two feet which is clearly a positive after getting rolled up from behind on a run play at practice last night.

Seahawks could be without top WRs for opener

SEAHAWKS COULD BE MISSING TOP WRS FOR OPENER: Seattle's receiving corps is having trouble getting on the field. Already without Bobby Engram, who set a franchise record for catches last season, for the opener after breaking a bone in his shoulder and is out 6-8 weeks, there's a decent chance that Deion Branch won't be available for the season opener at Buffalo either.

Head coach Mike Holmgren says he has to practice for a full week straight before he'll be allowed to play in the opener according to Tacoma News Tribune writer Frank Hughes. And Hughes sees that as a longshot.

Seattle QB Matt Hasselback is also not practicing right now due to an undisclosed injury with Charlie Frye running with the first team and Seneca Wallace with the twos.

Everett's grand marshall weekend

EVERETT'S GRAND MARSHALL WEEKEND: Here are a couple of snapshots of former Bills TE Kevin Everett as he served as grand marshall of the NASCAR Watkins Glen event last weekend. In the first he's about to take a ride in the pace car and in the second he's uttering the trademark statement, "Gentlemen start your engines!" Enjoy.
