STARTERS TO GO AT LEAST A HALF SUNDAY: Bills head coach Dick Jauron confirmed that his starters will go at least a half on Sunday night at Indianapolis.

"You'll see a lot of the starters. I certainly anticipate a half, maybe a little more," Jauron said. "This is kind of the exhibition game where you generally do that and it's probably what we'll do."

Whether Trent Edwards will play is still up in the air.

Royal comments on Upshaw loss

ROYAL COMMENTS ON UPSHAW LOSS: Bills union player rep Robert Royal commented on the sudden passing of NFLPA president Gene Upshaw from pancreatic cancer.

"Gene has been a tremendous asset not only to the NFL but to the players," said Royal. "It is unfortunate for it to happen, but things happen and he is in a better place now. Our condolences go out to his family and we wish them the best."

"(We've lost) a guy who has been in the fire for a long time, he has been around before a lot of us even thought about playing in the NFL. He has been doing it since guys (went on strike) back in the day, before we knew anything about it. We lose a lot of knowledge, a great person, a great human being and someone who was leading us in the right direction."

Royal wouldn't speculate as to who Upshaw's successor might be.

"I have no idea at all," said Royal. "Whoever we vote on once we get together is going to be the right person for the job so when the time comes for that we will deal with it."

JETBLUE FLY AWAY WINNERS: Five lucky Bills fans participated in the JetBlue 'Land Your Destination' contest at training camp earlier this week. Bills fans registered at buffalobills.com to have a chance to be entered in the contest. The five contestants then had to throw a football as far as they could to choose round trip flight destination cities.

Lee Evans, Rian Lindell and Brian Moorman lent support to the contestants, with all five walking away with JetBlue round trip fares to cities like Boston, New York, Fort Lauderdale and Long Beach, CA. Here's a photo of the winning contestants.

Will other holdout shoe drop?

WILL OTHER HOLDOUT SHOE DROP?: With St. Louis RB Steven Jackson ending his holdout and all but signed to a new deal, you wonder if Jason Peters is any closer to reporting. In all likelihood it will take some time. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch negotiations between the Rams and Jackson's agent (who is also Peters') heated up late last week. So it's encouraging that in a week's time they could hammer something out.

The only thing though was it was difference in philosophy according to Jackson. The difference between the Bills and Peters might be more significant. Cross your fingers everybody.
