NFL announces Pro Bowl rosters

After collecting votes from fans, players and coaches, the NFL has announced the roster for the 2013 Pro Bowl. The AFC and NFC All-Star squads are based on the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group's vote counts one-third toward determining the 43-man rosters that represent the AFC and NFC in the Pro Bowl.

Four Bills had been among the leaders up to the conclusion of the fan polling, but none garnered enough votes to be named to the AFC squad, although alternates will be selected at a later date.

Jairus Byrd, with 116,761 votes, finished second in the fan voting portion to Ravens S Ed Reed atop the AFC safeties list. He tied for the AFC lead with five interceptions, and has also forced four fumbles with six pass breakups in 2012. His 18 picks since entering the NFL in 2009 are tied for third-most overall.

Leodis McKelvin garnered 66,809 votes, fourth-most for an AFC kick returner. McKelvin, is the only player in the NFL with two punt returns for touchdowns in 2012. He held the league lead for punt return average at 18.7 yards per return and ranked fourth (28.3 yards/return) in kickoff return average.

Kyle Williams (197,391 votes) finished fourth among fan voting for AFC defensive tackles. A Pro Bowler in 2010, Williams leads the Bills defensive interior this season with 5.0 sacks and 40 tackles (26 solo).

C.J. Spiller is now averaging 6.48 yards per carry through the first 15 games, which would be a Bills team record, eclipsing O.J. Simpson's single season mark of 6.03 in 1973 (6.03). It would also top Jim Brown's mark of 6.4, which is the best since 1963. Spiller (6.48) has become the fifth player since 1960 with an average of 6.0 or better with at least 150 carries through 15 games joining Brown (6.4), Kansas City RB Jamaal Charles (6.39 in 2010) and Minnesota RB Adrian Peterson (6.04 this year)
