1- Zay Jones medically cleared; will practice

Bills WR Zay Jones was removed from the Active Non-Football Injury list Sunday. The receiver was cleared by the team's medical staff, which now allows him to practice.

"You'll see Zay out there today," said head coach Sean McDermott just before Sunday's practice. "He's got to continue to acclimate himself like he's been to get himself up to speed so he can continue to take this thing in the right direction. He's worked extremely hard with our training staff to get himself to where he is now. We'll just take it one day at a time."

Jones is coming off of knee surgery in the spring that cost him all OTA and minicamp practices, as well as the first week of training camp. He also underwent shoulder surgery for a torn labrum this past winter.

The second-year receiver is expected to be eased back into the practice setting this week. McDermott shared that Jones will wear a red non-contact jersey.

"He'll be in a red jersey for Zay's sake and the defense going against Zay, so they know how to treat him," McDermott said.

Both Jones and McDermott are aware of the ground the receiver has to make up with all the time he's missed in Brian Daboll's new offensive scheme.

"We've got our work cut out for us," said McDermott. "Zay knows that. It's not like it's something that can't be achieved. We've just got to continue to work at it and get him up to speed as quickly as we can. At the same time, we have to do it at the right pace."

2- K. Clay, T. Murphy, Phillips won't practice

Three players were confirmed as non-participants for Sunday's practice. WR Kaelin Clay sustained an injury in Friday night's practice as did fellow WR Cam Phillips. DE Trent Murphy is still day-to-day with a groin injury.
