RB Phillip Tanner joins Bills, C.J. Spiller goes to IR-Return

The Bills have signed RB Philip Tanner. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Tanner entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2011 with the Dallas Cowboys. The 5-10, 208 pound Middle Tennessee State product appeared in 39 games during his three seasons with the Cowboys, accumulating 149 yards and two touchdowns on 56 carries. Tanner, 26, is a native of Dallas, TX.

The Buffalo Bills also announced that the team has placed RB C.J. Spiller on the Reserve/Injured, Designated for Return list.
