S Ihedigbo to I-R; LB Albright waived, two promoted from practice squad

The Bills had some roster transactions on Tuesday as the injury bug continued to bite at the safety position. Already with Aaron Williams and Robert Blanton on injured reserve with season ending injuries, the safety signed to helped fill the void when they were injured has joined them.

Safety James Ihedigbo was placed on injured reserve after sustaining what head coach Rex Ryan described as an ankle injury.

The veteran was just signed a month ago and appeared in four games registering 15 tackles and a pass breakup.

Buffalo also waived rookie LB Bryson Albright. He was called up from the practice squad last week to replace injured LB Lerentee McCray on special teams. In his first NFL action, Albright got 18 snaps on special teams and a snap on defense.

S Gary, OL Ola called up from practice squadTo fill the two roster spots Buffalo called two players up from the practice squad. Safety Shamiel Gary and OL Michael Ola were promoted on Tuesday.

Ola has already had one stint on the Bills active roster this season. He appeared in three straight games between Weeks 4 and 6 for Buffalo.

Gary was just signed to the practice squad a couple of weeks ago.

The safety originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the New England Patriots in 2014. Gary has seen action in six career games, with one start, while recording 10 tackles.
