10. First regular season game at New Era Field

The Bills will be back home and ready to light up Thursday night for the team's first-ever home opener at New Era Field. 

9. Color Rush rematch

For the second time in franchise history, the Bills will be sporting an all-red ensemble, in honor of 2016 Color Rush. The Bills first debuted the fierce look last season, as they defeated the New York Jets on the road. Back for a primetime rematch, the Bills look to extend their Color Rush record to 2-0.

8. Alumni weekend

The Bills boys will be back in town for the home opener and to kick off a fun-filled weekend. The three-day event will feature the Buffalo Bills Alumni Foundation's Annual Celebrity Charity Golf Classic and a VIP Gala. The Bills legends lining the guest list include, wide receiver Andre Reed, linebacker London Fletcher, guard Billy Shaw, linebacker Angelo Crowell, guard Joe DeLamielleure, defensive back Butch Byrd, left cornerback Booker Edgerson, and former coach Ted Cottrell.

London Fletcher will also have a special role on game day as the Leader of the Charge.

7. Olympic ties

If you watched the Olympic Games, you may have noticed that your Buffalo Bills were the most popular NFL team in Rio, thanks to Bills fans Meghan and Kevin Quinn.

To thank the Quinn's for showing the world just how deep the Bills run, former Olympian and Bills wide receiver Marquise Goodwin and the Bills treated them to a VIP experience at tonight's home opener.

6. Nobody circles the wagons like…Chris Berman

ESPN's very own Chris Berman will be at New Era Field for Buffalo's Week 2 matchup. Berman will be on-field to introduce Smith during his halftime jersey retirement ceremony.

5. Darius Rucker to sing national anthem

As the Bills gear up for kickoff, special guest Darius Rucker will take the field to sing the national anthem before a sold out crowd. Lead singer and rhythm guitarist of Hootie & the Blowfish and hit solo country artist, Rucker is sure to deliver an unforgettable performance.

4. Thursday Night Football Twitter debut

For the first time ever, fans will be able to watch the Bills live in primetime on Twitter!

3. New Era Cap Color Rush body painting

Bills fans, you won't want to miss this! From 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. New Era Cap will be spray painting fans with red Color Rush body paint. Located inside The Bills Store parking lot, as well as outside of the old Bills Team Store near the ADPRO Sports Training Center. The more body parts painted, the better!

2. Bills in primetime

In the NFL, Thursday Night Football is a big deal. The last time the Bills played on a Thursday night at home was on November 15, 2012 against the Miami Dolphins. The result? A Bills win. Enough said.

1. BRUUUUUCE's big moment

In celebration of his legendary NFL career, Bills Hall of Fame defensive end Bruce Smith will return to New Era Field for his No. 78 to be retired forever. Amassing 200 sacks over 19 seasons, Smith holds the record as the NFL's all-time sack leader. An inspiration both on and off the field, Smith's impact on the Bills and entire NFL will never be forgotten.
