WR Coles the FA headline visitor

With a handful of free agent visits Friday Jets free agent wide receiver Laveranues Coles was the headliner at One Bills Drive.

Coles (5'11" 193) restructured his contract with the Jets earlier this week allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent.

The veteran wideout is coming off a season in which he matched a career high in touchdown receptions with seven along with 70 receptions for 850 yards. A dependable playmaker Coles is capable of making plays from sideline to sideline, but is not known as a deep threat.

The 31-year old has been remarkably durable in his career as Coles has missed just four games in the past eight seasons.

Buffalo has a crowded receiving corps right now with all six receivers on the roster last season under contract with the club for 2009. Those receivers are Lee Evans, Josh Reed, Roscoe Parrish, James Hardy, Justin Jenkins and Steve Johnson.
