In the Community | 2025 High School Football Metro Bowl Championship (40th Anniversary)

The 40th Annual High School Football Metro Bowl Championship took place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the University of Toronto's Varsity Centre in Toronto. The game featured the Chaminade Gryphons winners of the AAA Toronto Bowl (Toronto Public v Toronto Catholic) against the Robert F. Hall Wolfpack the winners of the AAA 905 Bowl (Peel vs. Durham) to determine an overall winner for the region. Robert F. Hall took home the title by a score of 39-0. Billy Buffalo and Bills Legends Donald Jones and Darryl Talley, served as honorary captains for the game. Prior to the Metro Bowl the Bishop Allen Cardinals defeated the Leaside Lancers in the AA Toronto Bowl by a score of 14-7. Between the Toronto Bowl and Metro Bowl, All Star Teams from various high school athletic associations in the Greater Toronto Area participated in exhibition games for local, national, and international scouts.

In celebration of the Bills Play 60 Charged Up By Wegmans program, participating students and teachers from Rochester and Buffalo were invited to the Bills vs. Eagles game on 12/28 to be recognized during a special pregame Play 60 ceremony. The teachers and students then joined community partners from Wegmans, BestSelf Behavioral Health, Project Play WNY, and The Buffalo/Niagara American Heart Association in holding the Bills player introduction banners.
