In the Community | Connor McGovern Honors Buffalo Firefighters Ahead of 9/11

Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Connor McGovern visited a local Buffalo firehouse to thank first responders for their service and sacrifice in recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11th. McGovern spent time with firefighters, delivered pizzas and wings, and personally invited them to attend the Bills home opener as a small token of appreciation for their unwavering dedication to the Buffalo community.

In celebration of the Play Football Initiative, the Buffalo Bills hosted a number of activations during the Bills vs. Panthers pre-season game celebrating youth and Girls flag football including youth flag players from Sweet Home Girls Flag, RedZone NFL Flag, and Youth Advantage Flag holding the player introduction banners, coaches from Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo being recognized as a part of the Varsity Girls Flag Coach of the Week and Year program, and a High School All Star Girls Flag Football Scrimmage featuring coaches and players from all of the local Sectional Championship winning teams. The Buffalo Bills and USA Football partnered at Bills Training Camp at St. John Fisher University For a youth football coaching certification clinic in advance of the start of the Fall Season. Coaches received tickets to Bills Training Camp practice, Bills hats and t shirts, and the opportunity to develop their coaching skills with an emphasis on player health and safety.

In the Community | Play 60 Charged Up By Wegmans Field Day and Visit to Buffalo Bills Training Camp

100 boys and girls from Rochester region community centers and schools participated in the annual Play 60 Charged Up By Wegmans Field Day and Training Camp event. The children participated in flag football drills supervised by Project Play WNY, American Heart Association and Wegmans volunteers. In the Community | Buffalo Bills & Sabres host Pet Adoption Event

The Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres teamed up for a pet adoption event at KeyBank Center. Over twenty shelters and rescue organizations from throughout Western New York were on hand to spotlight homeless pets available for adoption, giving community members a chance to meet a variety of pets at one location. Patty Guelli and Hayley Beane served as honorary co-chairs of the event and hosted a pet food drive to support participating rescue organizations.
