In the Community | Play Football Month Celebration

At the Bills vs. Giants Preseason Kids Day Game on August 9th, the Buffalo Bills celebrated the start of the fall football season by inviting over 1,500 youth and high school tackle and flag football teams to Highmark Stadium. To represent these organizations, the Buffalo Bills invited high school girls flag football players and coaches from Section V (CG Finney, Penfield and Webster Schroeder) and Section VI (Orchard Park, Pioneer and Clarence) to hold the pregame introduction banners and participate in a flag football scrimmage at halftime. Also, during pregame, the High School Girls Flag Football Coaches of the Week from both sections were recognized for their contributions to growing the game of flag football in the community. Bills alumni, Jerry Butler, presented a ceremonial football to the inaugural High School Girls Flag Football Coaches of the Year, Mark Layer from Clarence (Section VI) and Ian Insley from Webster Schroeder (Section V).

Buffalo Bills Legend Fred Jackson and team Mascot Billy Buffalo visited the Football Ontario Club Flag Provincial Championships on July 19th at the Fountain Street Soccer Complex in Cambridge, ON. The largest Club Flag Provincial Championship in Ontario history showcased the province's top youth talent and the rapid growth of flag football in Ontario, Canada. At the event, players, coaches and family members received Bills giveaways and the opportunity to take pictures and receive autographs from Fred and Billy!

The Buffalo Bills in partnership with Nike hosted the second annual Nike Girls Flag 7-on-7 Tournament and Skills Challenge on June 29th. 12 teams from the Buffalo and Rochester regions competed in the event which included 7-on-7 game play and football skills challenges including Long Punt, Pro Agility, QB Long Toss, and 40 Yard Dash to determine an overall winner. Fredonia High School Girls Flag Football was this year's winning team!

In the Community | Nike 11-On at West Seneca East High School

The Buffalo Bills hosted the fourth annual Tackle Nike 11-On event on June 14 at West Seneca East High School with 11 varsity football programs from Buffalo and Rochester regions in partnership with Nike and the New York State High School Football Coaches Association. The event included 7-on-7 games and a lineman challenge to determine the overall winner. This year's winning team is the Bennett Tigers!
