Played with the Bills from 1962-69...claimed off waivers from the San Diego Chargers for $100 in 1962...led the Bills to the 1964 and '65 AFL Championships...named AFL Player-of-the Year in 1965...established nearly every team passing mark during the 1960s...is still third in virtually every team passing record including attempts (2,240), completions (1,040), yards (15,138), and touchdowns (77)... went on to represent New York as a member of the House of Representatives... was Bob Dole's running mate on the Republican Party's 1996 Presidential ticket.
