Bills bring back Shaq Lawson

The Bills have another defensive lineman coming back to Buffalo. Defensive end Shaq Lawson has signed a one-year deal with Buffalo.

Lawson is entering his seventh season and most recently played for the New York Jets. In 2021, the defensive end saw action in seven games and had one sack, five tackles for loss and one interception.

Lawson has played in 78 games and has started in 31 in his career. Over his six years, he has racked up 95 total tackles, 21.5 sacks, 13 passes defensed, 61 quarterback hits, 34 tackles for loss, six forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one interception.

The Clemson product was drafted by the Bills in the first round of the 2016 draft. He played his first four seasons in Buffalo and recorded 16.5 sacks. His most productive season came in 2019 when he had 6.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss.
