The Buffalo Bills are releasing safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson, the team announced Tuesday.
Due to his one-game suspension in Week 8, Gardner-Johnson did not count against the 53-man roster last week. Buffalo used the open roster spot to sign DB Te'Cory Couch to the active roster on Oct. 31.
Couch will remain on the 53-man roster, while Gardner-Johnson is released.
In six games with Buffalo, Gardner-Johnson made six starts, 26 tackles and one interception.
