Bills make third trade of draft weekend

Take a behind-the-scenes look inside the Bills Draft Room where all the action happens at One Bills Drive on Draft Day.

Buffalo made a headline grabbing trade earlier in the day Friday moving Stevie Johnson in a trade with San Francisco. On Friday night they got the player they wanted in round two in offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio, and managed to do it despite making a quick move down the board.

A couple of picks before the Bills were on the clock the St. Louis Rams called and were interested in moving up to Buffalo's spot at 41 from their position at 44th overall. Bills GM Doug Whaley agreed to the deal in exchange for the Rams fifth round pick at 153rd overall.

"It just presented itself," said Whaley. "It wasn't our main goal going into (Friday), but it worked out that way so we gave up that sixth for Mike Williams and now we've got a better pick, a fifth round pick."

It was the third trade made by Buffalo after their bold move Thursday night to move up from ninth overall to fourth in a trade with Cleveland to take Sammy Watkins and the Johnson trade.

Buffalo now has a fourth-round pick (109th), a pair of fifth round selections (149th, 153rd) and their seventh round pick (224th) for day three of the draft on Saturday.
