Bills release DT Coleman

A week after bringing DeAndre Coleman back to the 53-man roster, Buffalo has released the defensive tackle.

Coleman was signed last week as the Bills had a shortage of healthy defensive tackles with Marcell Dareus sidelined by an ankle injury and Jerel Worthy in the concussion protocol.

The release of Coleman likely means either Dareus or Worthy are close to a return.

Head coach Sean McDermott did not have an update on Dareus on Monday after he missed last week's game with his ankle injury.

Worthy has been in the concussion protocol for more than three weeks. His status too has not been updated. More should be known about the status of both players on Wednesday.
