The Buffalo Bills signed 25-year-old cornerback A.J. Woods to the practice squad on Tuesday.

Woods was an undrafted free agent out of the University of Pittsburgh in 2024 by the Washington Commanders. He was later released and signed to the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad that season, becoming a Super Bowl champion at Super Bowl LIX.

Woods spent five seasons at Pitt in college, appearing in 59 games. The corner accumulated four interceptions, 25 passes defended, seven tackles for loss, two sacks and 105 total tackles.

At 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds, Woods joins the Bills' defensive back room as another young, versatile piece. At his pro day back in 2024, he ran a 4.35-second 40-yard dash with a 6.56-second three-cone drill and 16 reps on the bench press.

After not making it through the Eagles' final roster cuts ahead of the 2025 season, he signed with the Denver Broncos for a brief period, spending the rest of the year on the Atlanta Falcons practice squad.

Over the course of his two years in the NFL, Woods has yet to play in a regular-season game.

On October 3rd, 2026, fans were able to spend the day at Highmark Stadium for Rally Day before the Buffalo Bills played the New England Patriots.
