The Bills made a roster move early Thursday. Buffalo signed rookie free agent RB Zachary Brown. Brown, who was a tryout player during the Bills rookie minicamp worked out for the team on the grass field during the club's evening practice Wednesday before he was signed.

Brown (5'9" 212) began his college career at Wisconsin, but transferred to Pitt due mainly to lack of playing time for the 2011 season.

He rushed for 1,488 yards in his career on 322 carries (4.62 avg.) with 16 touchdowns. His senior year  at Pitt he showed some receiving ability with 25 receptions for 184 yards.

To make room for Brown on the roster the Bills waived rookie RB Chris Douglas.
