Bills re-sign RB Ty Johnson to one-year deal

A familiar face is returning to Buffalo's running backs room. The Bills have re-signed RB Ty Johnson to a one-year deal.

Johnson spent last season with Buffalo and played in 10 games. The RB averaged 4.4 yards per carry and had one receiving touchdown in 2023. He also returned eight kickoffs and averaged 20.1 yards per return.

Before coming to Buffalo, Johnson spent almost three full seasons with the Jets from 2020-2022. He played in 44 games and started in five for the Jets.

Johnson has totaled 238 attempts for 1,057 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, 93 receptions for 730 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns over his five-year career.

He was originally drafted by Detroit in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL draft.
