1 – Bills and Jets both hungry for a win

The Bills aren't the only team thirsting for the taste of victory. Buffalo has lost four straight and their opponent on Sunday, the New York Jets have dropped three in a row.

Buffalo's 41-9 loss Sunday may not have been a pretty performance, but the Jets 13-6 defeat at the hands of the Dolphins wasn't much better.

Sam Darnold threw four interceptions in the loss at Miami, including one that was returned for the game's only touchdown. The rookie quarterback threw interceptions on three of the team's last four possessions to end the game.

"There's no excuse for how I played out there," said Darnold. "I've got to be better."

Meanwhile Buffalo's rookie quarterback Josh Allen is trying to get healthy in time for this Sunday's game. He began throwing in a limited capacity at practice last Friday.

In an interview with head coach Sean McDermott following Sunday's loss, Bills local television partner, WKBW-TV asked McDermott how Allen is progressing in his return from a sprained throwing elbow.

"He's been working hard to get back," McDermott said. "He was able to throw at the tail end of the week so we're taking steps in the right direction."

When asked if Allen has a chance to play against the Jets, McDermott didn't rule it out.

"We'll see," he said. "We've got to take it one day at a time."

The two rookie quarterbacks are good friends after training together during the pre-draft preparation process.

The Dolphins beat the Jets 13-6, thanks largely to the four interceptions they logged against Sam Darnold, including a 25-yard return for a touchdown by LB Jerome Baker. With the win Miami improved to 5-4. The Jets fell to 3-6 on the season.

The Patriots hosted the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night football and came away with a 31-17 victory. The Patriots sit atop the AFC East and second in the AFC with a 7-2 record.

4 - They said it
"We have to execute better in a lot of situations. When you lose the turnover battle, and we lost it 4-0, that's tough to do. We'd get some yards and then we'd shoot ourselves in the foot. Whether it's penalty-wise or just execution we have to do a better job there."
--Jets head coach Todd Bowles

"It was really tough. We only gave up two field goals. The defense is playing lights out. It almost felt like we won the game from our perspective, but then you look at the scoreboard and you see we didn't. It's kind of like I don't know how to feel right now. It's disappointing."
--Jets DL Leonard Williams
