Bills agree to terms to trade Ryan Bates to Chicago for a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft

The Bills have added another asset for the 2024 NFL Draft. Buffalo has agreed to terms to acquire a fifth round pick from the Chicago Bears for offensive lineman Ryan Bates.

The trade will become official on March 13 pending a physical.

Bates spent five seasons in Buffalo playing in 73 games and making 19 starts. He appeared in 17 games in 2023 but did not make a start.

The Bills now have 10 picks in this year's draft, pending compensatory picks which will be announced by the NFL this month. The Bills are locked into the 28th pick in the first round of the draft. Here is a look at their draft picks:
