The Bills host the Giants Saturday at 1 p.m. for the first preseason game of 2025. With a packed house expected at Highmark Stadium, here are five players we're keeping an eye on that could make a big impact.

1 — LB Joe Andreessen

The feel good story of last summer has an even bigger opportunity in front of him this preseason. The Depew native has been competing with Baylon Spector for the backup middle linebacker position, but with Spector waived/injured this past week the deck is cleared for Andreessen to seize the role. A solid and consistent performance against the Giants will go a long way in securing it.

2 — DE Joey Bosa

Buffalo's biggest pass rushing addition in free agency has certainly put his skills on display in training camp. The preseason opener will be the first opportunity for Bills fans to see what kind of shot in the arm Bosa can be for Buffalo's pass rush.

3 — TE Jackson Hawes

The Bills' fifth-round pick has been a workhorse in camp and has handled a multitude of assignments in Buffalo's offensive scheme. His play has also caught the eye of some of his veteran teammates. Executing those assignments at game speed will be the next test as he tries to nail down the third tight end role.

4 — OT Ryan Van Demark

For the second straight year Van Demark has been in a battle for the swing tackle role with second-year offensive tackle Tylan Grable. But with Grable currently in concussion protocol Van Demark has the chance to get a leg up in the competition with a strong performance Saturday afternoon.

5 — WR Kristian Wilkerson

The well-traveled receiver has made the most of his reps with the starting unit this week with some front line wideouts out due to injury. He's displayed sure hands, physicality at the catch point, and an ability to block in the run game. He'll want to carry that momentum into Saturday's game.
