Teachers are the backbone of our community. They inspire students each and every day to be the best that they can be. They give back each time they step in the classroom, and now is your chance to honor that special mentor. The Buffalo Bills and M&T Bank have partnered for the fourth annual "Touchdown for Teachers" program, which honors teachers for their outstanding work in their schools and communities.

Nominate your favorite teacher at www.buffalobills.com/teachers. Submit online or download and mail to the Buffalo Bills attention Erica Muhleman at One Bills Drive, Orchard Park, NY 14127 or faxed to 716.312.8603. Teachers nominated must live in the following counties:

Honorees are chosen based on their amount of involvement in the school or community, degree of positive impact on the school or community and their demonstrated commitment to education.  Nominate your favorite teacher no later than Friday, November 9th, 2012.

"Teachers are extremely important role models for our children, and provide them with guidance and opportunity," said Bills running back Fred Jackson. "I wouldn't be where I am today without support from the teachers and mentors that I had growing up."

The grand prize five finalists will receive:

  • Two (2) tickets to the Bills home game on December 2nd
  • Pre-game field access to watch warm-ups
  • In-game recognition on the video board
