The Bills and Dawson Knox have agreed to terms on a new contract that will keep the veteran tight end in Buffalo through 2028.

Knox has recorded 229 catches for 2,694 yards and 27 touchdowns in seven seasons in Buffalo. In 2025, Knox had his best season since 2022, ranking third on the team in receiving yards (417), tied for second in TDs (4) and fourth in targets (49).

Throughout his time in Buffalo, Knox has proven to be a reliable target for quarterback Josh Allen. Since coming into the league in 2019, Knox has the seventh-most touchdown receptions by a tight end.

Knox helped form a trio of tight ends for Buffalo which also includes Pro Bowl TE Dalton Kincaid and second-year TE Jackson Hawes. Buffalo ranked second among all teams in reception yards by tight ends (1,210) and touchdowns (12).

Earlier this offseason, Bills general manager Brandon Beane acknowledged to reporters that the team wanted Knox back in Buffalo as long as they could rework his contract.

"We'd be crazy not to want a Dawson Knox back. We know we have to make it work for him and work for us," Beane said during the NFL Combine.

Now that both sides have made it work, No. 88 will be back on the field for Buffalo in 2026.
