Bills Flex Their Muscles

Buffalo Bills linebackers Marcus Buggs, Blake Costanzo, Keith Ellison, defensive end Ryan Denney, kicker Rian Lindell and safety John Wendling participated in the Red Ribbon Rally October 28th, at Lorraine Elementary School #72 in Buffalo yesterday. After entering the school's auditorium to an exciting, ear-piercing round of applause, the Bills players took the stage, and flexed their muscles against drugs by encouraging students to "Join the Drug-Free Team!"

"National Red Ribbon Week" runs through October 31st and WNY United Against Drug & Alcohol Abuse, Inc. worked with Lorraine Elementary and the Bills to help send the message to kids about refraining from getting involved with drugs.

Many area schools and community centers will support Red Ribbon Week with various events. Anyone wearing a red ribbon pledges to maintain a lifestyle free of substance abuse. Red ribbon activities help to support community members and students that have 'Joined the Drug-Free Team'.

In a related event, the Bills will host a 'Kids Escaping Drugs' autograph session on Monday, November 3, 2008 at the McKinley Mall. Trent Edwards, Donte Whitner and other Bills players are scheduled to support this cause. For more information, please click here.
