Bills host NFL Flag Football Regional Tournament

Orchard Park, NY - The Buffalo Bills played host to the 2008 NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Sunday, October 12th at the Bills Youth Football Stadium in Orchard Park, NY.  Only three squads remain from over 20 different teams of boys and girls from Canada, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York that competed in the round robin tournament coordinated by the National Football League and the Buffalo Bills.

The winning teams from each age bracket were from Londonderry and Pelham New Hampshire (ages 9-11 co-ed), Fort Wayne, Indiana (ages 12-14 boys) and Hamilton, Ontario, Canada (ages 12-14 girls).  The winning three teams advance to the NFL Flag National Tournament of Champions at DISNEY'S WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS ® Complex in Orlando, FL on Saturday, November 22, 2008.

Developed by the NFL, NFL FLAG teaches values and life skills on and off the field to more than 115,000 youth.  NFL FLAG is a non-contact version of traditional football and is offered for boys and girls ages 5-17 in cities across the country. The program emphasizes safety, fun, teamwork, self-esteem, discipline and goal-setting.
