1.This just in: Preston Brown's Playbook

On Tuesday Oct. 3, Bills linebacker Preston Brown launched "Preston's Playbook" with the help of his college teammate and Buffalo native, Justin Gilmore. Preston's Playbook is a program focused on giving back to the local community through a variety of different outlets.

One thing that has always been important to Brown is education. Growing up, Brown was inspired by watching his father who worked in education for years.

Preston's Playbook kicked off at Niagara Falls Wheatfield High School, where he visited the varsity football team following practice. After getting to know the young players, and providing insight on balancing football and maintaining a good GPA, he knew he wanted to do more to help their team. Brown donated stadium lights to their field so that next week the team can host their very first night game.

In addition to visiting the Niagara Falls Wheatfield football team, Brown also visited a local Make-A-Wish recipient, Angelica Beiter. A few years ago, Beiter was granted her wish to travel to Disney World. The trip gave her and her family a chance to have fun and not worry about her illness, something she knew other children deserved too. Inspired by the opportunity, Beiter has spent the past couple of years raising thousands of dollars to help other Make-A-Wish children. With a little extra help from Brown, Beiter is now able to fund three wishes.

2.A Pro on the field and in the kitchen

On Sundays, cornerback Leonard Johnson is a key player in the Bills 1/11 defense approach taking on opposing players and stopping plays. On his days off, Johnson prefers a more one-on-one approach, challenging himself in the kitchen. On his day off last week, Johnson and his fiancé took a cooking class, spending their date night preparing gourmet steaks and ravioli. Cooking has always interested Johnson, who hopes one day to be on the Food Network.

3.Logan Thomas = Dad x 5

Tight end Logan Thomas and his wife will be welcoming a baby girl to their family in April! The Thomas's already have their hands full with four boys and announced the exciting news on Twitter.

4.A one-of-a-kind birthday for FB Mike Tolbert's daughter

Mike Tolbert might have the luckiest little girl in the world. On his day off, and his daughter's sixth birthday, the Tolbert family took a quick 24-hour trip to New York City.  Tolbert shared a picture of his daughter posing in Times Square.

5. Alexander the great [mentor]

On top of being an all-around great athlete, Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander is also a mentor to local football players. When visiting the South Park High School football team this week, Alexander gifted the players with sneakers and great advice!
