The Buffalo Bills are bringing a fullback back into the building, signing Brock Lampe to the practice squad on Monday. He will wear No. 45.
Lampe spent training camp with the Seattle Seahawks after being released by the New England Patriots in July. The Seahawks waived the 23-year-old from their injured reserve list with an injury settlement on the first day of September.
Lampe visited the Bills two days later, eventually now joining the practice squad. The fullback was an undrafted free agent signing by the Patriots in 2025, but spent the entirety of his rookie year on the injured reserve list.
A leg injury Lampe suffered in training camp last season kept him off the field. His injury designation with Seattle this year was undisclosed. He was set to spend all of 2026 on the sideline as well before reaching the injury settlement.
Lampe was a model of consistency in college at Northern Illinois, playing in 47 consecutive games from 2021-2024. He tallied 18 receptions for 216 receiving yards and a touchdown, along with 20 carries for 66 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in his four-year collegiate career.
He played a big role in a dominant Huskies rushing attack that averaged 203.8 rushing yards per game in his senior season, also proving to be a special teams staple.
G Nick Broeker was released in a corresponding move.
