Jason Garrett praises Coach McDermott

NBC Sports broadcaster Jason Garrett credited head coach Sean McDermott on his coaching ability to turn Baltimore's 20-3 lead into a 23-20 victory for the Bills, and his all-around dedication to putting together a successful game plan on the field week after week.

"Nobody ever talks about (head coach) Sean McDermott," Garrett said. "This guy is an outstanding coach. He's built a great program up there, they had a tough loss in Miami last week…the mental toughness he's built up there is fantastic. He's a hell of a coach."

With the 23-20 win over the Ravens, the Bills improved to 33-23 under McDermott in games that were within one score in the fourth quarter.

Poyer named Peter King's defensive player of the week

Safety Jordan Poyer's game-changing performance of two fourth-quarter interceptions and six tackles earned him Peter King's defensive player of the week award.

"Late in the fourth quarter of a game tied at 20, the veteran safety picked off Lamar Jackson in the end zone on fourth and goal, arguably the most pivotal moment of the Bills' 17-point comeback and 23-20 win over the Ravens." - Peter King

Poyer rebounded from a foot injury that kept him out of last Sunday's game against Miami when he notched his first multi-interception game in Baltimore.

The safety has at least one interception in every game he's played in this season and is the first Bill since Henry Jones in 1992 to have four interceptions in his first three games of a season.
