Here's the Bills news of note for June 28th.
**1 - Ted Washington reflects on his time with Buffalo

Bills Pro Bowl defensive lineman from the mid 90's, Ted Washington, recently appeared on the John Murphy Show, where he reflected on his time with the Bills. Washington played nose tackle for the Bills from 1995–2000 and was an important piece of Buffalo's defensive unit.
Washington earned three Pro Bowl nods during his time in Buffalo. Not to mention, the Bills made the playoffs in '95, '96, '98 and '99. But, that wasn't what was most important for him.
"Well, I'd say it's more off the field stuff," explained Washington. "I accomplished a lot with the community, not only in Orchard Park but also in Buffalo and all the surrounding areas. Giving back, just to see the expressions...To see the expression on kids' face[s] that they didn't have and I was able to give and participate.
"I didn't just give out money and not be there. I was always there to see it…It really made myself and family, just proud. Just giving back to the community."
2 - Jim Kelly comments on McDermott's discipline
Jim Kelly is one of the most historic passers in Buffalo Bills history. When holding his most recent edition of his Jim Kelly Football Camp, the quarterback made a comment on the hiring of new head coach, Sean McDermott.
"I'm excited about the 2017 Buffalo Bills. Coach McDermott brings discipline to the table that we haven't had in a while." Kelly said.
With Kelly at quarterback, the Bills made the playoffs in eight of 11 seasons. The Hall of Famer is an iconic piece in Bills history. It's important to note that McDermott is receiving praise from some of the leagues all time greats.
3 - BR: Dawkins already looks like draft-day steal
Bleacher Report's, Brent Sobleski, recently wrote a column on rookies who already look like draft-day steals. For the Bills, he believes that Dawkins might be that draft steal. The Bills selected Dion Dawkins in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft with pick no. 63.
Dawkins has been praised for his versatility along the offensive line. Here is what Sobleski had to say about the rookie:
*Cordy Glenn is recovering from an ankle injury and isn't in any jeopardy of losing his job, but the fact Dawkins can handle blindside responsibilities speaks to the confidence the Bills coaching staff already has in him. *
"I think he can play four positions. He can play left tackle, right tackle, left guard or right guard. Really it amounts to where we're going to need him," offensive line coach Juan Castillo said on *the John Murphy Show*.
*His most likely landing spot will come at right tackle where Jordan Mills awaits.
Dawkins (314 pounds) is more comfortable at left tackle after being a three-year starter on Temple's blind side. But his versatility was on display during the Senior Bowl when he played both tackle and guard.
