The Buffalo Bills have landed an instant-impact wide receiver for quarterback Josh Allen, acquiring DJ Moore from the Chicago Bears. The trade is now official as the new league year begins.

The finalized trade includes Moore and Chicago's 2026 fifth round draft (pick No. 165) going to Buffalo in exchange for Buffalo's 2026 second round pick (No. 60 overall).

Moore has over 8,000 career receiving yards and over 500 rushing yards in eight seasons. He is a durable player who has played in 17 regular season games each of the last five seasons.

The former Panthers first round pick will now reunite with Bills head coach Joe Brady. Moore played under Brady in 2020 and 2021 when Brady was Carolina's offensive coordinator. During that time, Moore had two of his most productive seasons as a WR, going over 1,100 yards both seasons with eight total touchdowns.

Moore was traded to the Bears prior to the 2023 season and spent the last three years with Chicago. The talented wideout continued to produce with a new team.

Since 2023, Moore has totaled the fifth-most receiving yards against man coverage (1,044), according to Next Gen Stats. Only George Pickens, Puka Nacua, A.J. Brown and CeeDee Lamb have more.

Moore is also one of only five players with 50+ catches on throws of 20+ air yards over the last five seasons, per ESPN Insights.

While Moore had a down year in 2025 with Chicago, he still ranked second on the team in explosive receptions (gains of 16+ yards) with 19 plays.

Moore joins a wide receiver corps in Buffalo with Khalil Shakir, Josh Palmer, Keon Coleman, Tyrell Shavers and Jalen Virgil on the active roster.
