Bills safety George Wilson and some of his teammates including linebacker Andra Davis, safety Jairus Byrd and cornerback Drayton Florence handed out Thanksgiving meals to families in the Buffalo community on November 21, 2011.

Wilson’s S.A.F.E.T.Y. Foundation donated more than 2,000 pounds of food for the Home for the Holidays Program, which helps underprivileged families during the holidays. The meals were distributed at the Northwest Community Center in Buffalo on Monday.

Wilson is no stranger when it comes to giving back to the community and enjoys helping to make people happy.  His "boxes of love" were filled with Thanksgiving meals for families.

"We're handing out boxes of love," said Wilson. "We're trying to put smiles on people's faces, bring some warmth, some joy, some happiness into some of the households here in Western New York," said Wilson.

With support from the Buffalo Bills and the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, Wilson's S.A.F.E.T.Y. Foundation provided meals for more than 100 families this holiday season.

Andra Davis, who had his family in attendance with him, put things into perspective.

"God has blessed us to be in the situation we're in, to not worry about what we're going to eat and everything," said Davis. "To be able to come back, and give back makes you feel very good."

Florence hosted his own Thanksgiving event for military families on November 22nd...click here to read about his support of the United States Military.
