How Bills fans can get involved with Give 716 Day in 2022

Give 716 returns this week to support charities in Western New York, and we're kicking it off with a special event at Southern Tier Brewing Co. that is open to fans.

Buffalo Sabres analysts Brian Duff and Marty Biron will host a live stream onsite at Southern Tier beginning at 7:16 p.m. on Thursday, July 14 at Southern Tier. Guests at the event will include Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams and coach Don Granato along with Buffalo Bills fullback Reggie Gilliam, linebacker Tyler Matakevich, cornerback Tim Harris and Bills Legend Darryl Talley.

Give 716 runs from 7:16 p.m. on July 14 to 7:16 a.m. on Saturday, July 16. During that time, donors can visit Give716.org to choose from 527 participating charities to support or contribute to a general fund which will be divided evenly among the organizations.

Last year, Give 716 raised over $1.1 million in 28 hours.

The first 3,000 donations of $71.60 or more will receive a limited edition Give 716 T-shirt.

Starting at 8 pm, the first 100 donations of $716 or more will receive an autographed Josh Allen jersey.

Local companies are once again partnering to host "Power Hours" on July 15, during which donations to specified causes will be matched. The Power Hour schedule is as follows:

7 a.m. – Delaware North

  • Delaware North will match up to $25,000 in general donations.

8 a.m. – KeyBank

  • KeyBank will match up to $25,000 in general donations.

9 a.m. – Dave & Adam's Card World

  • Dave & Adam's Card World will match up to $25,000 in donations made to participating animal charities.

12 p.m. – Wegmans

  • Wegmans will match up to $25,000 in general donations.

1 p.m. – Highmark

  • Highmark will match up to $25,000 in general donations.

4 p.m. – M&T Bank

  • M&T Bank will match up to $10,000 to charities based in East Buffalo and will donate $15,000 in grants to East Buffalo organizations.

5 p.m. – Rick Jeanneret

  • The first 500 donations of $117.60 will receive an autographed Oxford Pennant Rick Jeanneret banner.

6 p.m. – Bills and Sabres Foundations

  • The Bills and Sabres Foundations will match up to $12,500 in general donations.

Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins will also host his 716 Day Summer Shnowfest at Canalside on Saturday, July 16. The event will feature family fun activities from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and an adult date night from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The event is free to attend. Auctions and raffle tickets will support Dion's Dreamers, which provides mentorship for young men and women in underserved communities.
