Bills rookie wide receiver Skyler Bell will make his NFL debut under the lights on Monday night against the Rams.

"Skyler's going to be up," head coach Joe Brady said after practice on Saturday.

Wide receiver Joshua Palmer (shoulder) will miss Monday's game according to Brady, helping Bell's opportunity to be in the mix for Week 5.

"It was good because early in the week, he's taking DJ Moore's (dealing with a shoulder injury) plays in practice," Brady said. "…It's not like he hasn't been getting work with Josh (Allen)…He's made the most of these opportunities and now just knowing…these are going to be your plays now with Josh Palmer down. I got all the confidence in Skyler. I'm excited for his opportunity."

The rookie is also looking forward to his opportunity.

"We are ready to go," Bell said. "I'm excited."

One reason why Bell is feeling confident about playing in his first NFL game is due to his preparation through the first part of the season.

"Just trying to stay prepared, stay in the playbook, know all the spots that I could play because I play everywhere," Bell explained. "So just being on top of the game plan, so that if someone goes down or if I have to play something I didn't rep in practice, I'm ready to go."

Bell was drafted by the Bills in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. The WR is versatile with 4.4 speed and knows how to grab yards after the catch. He scored 13 touchdowns in his final season at UConn in 2025.

He believes his connection with Allen is heading in the right direction.

"I think it's been growing well," Bell shared. "Obviously I've always gotten work with him in practice. He always throws to me in individual (period) and routes on air. So, I think us being able to show it in a game setting for the first time will be exciting."
