1. Mitch Morse and Quinton Spain back practicing

The afternoon before the team's final preseason game, C Mitch Morse gained full medical clearance from the concussion protocol. So today will be his first full-scale practice with his teammates.

"We're a go at this point. We have full confidence in Mitch and our medical staff that he's been cleared," said McDermott. "He was in meetings digesting the game plan this morning and I'm sure he'll tell you he's ready to go."

Joining him is left guard Quinton Spain, who will be practicing for the first time since suffering an ankle injury in the team's third preseason game at Detroit.

With Spain it's evident that the team is taking a more calculated approach.

"We'll just see how practice goes," said McDermott as it pertains to Spain. "How he feels out there and take it one rep at a time."

2. McDermott hopeful Tyler Kroft is back soon

He is not practicing on Monday, but TE Tyler Kroft, who has missed the balance of the offseason due to a foot injury that required surgery, is making significant progress.

It's the main reason why the team gave him a spot on the 53-man roster rather than placing him on Reserve/PUP, which would've kept him off the practice field until Week 7.

Though he's not participating in practice now, head coach Sean McDermott is hopeful that Kroft will be back in the near future.

"I think the information we're getting from our medical staff is it's been very positive," McDermott said concerning Kroft. "He's worked extremely hard and he's making a lot of progress in terms of when I couldn't tell you at this point. But we're hopeful for some time, the first couple games here."

3. No final destination for Ford yet

Bills rookie second-round pick Cody Ford has seen a lot of work on Buffalo's starting offensive line. Where he lines up however, has not been finalized according to the Bills head coach.

"We'll just take it one practice at a time," said McDermott. "He's played both guard and tackle. We feel good about both positions with Cody. It'll just be one practice at a time right now."

Knowing all the other offensive line candidates who would factor into the starting roles on the right side of the line are healthy and practicing, it's likely more of a coach's decision than one of availability that will ultimately determine where Ford lines up this Sunday against the Jets.
