Stroud to host Pins for Hope bowling tourney

Marcus Stroud, starting defensive tackle for the Buffalo Bills, will host Pins for HOPE, a bowling fundraiser to benefit the Marcus Stroud Charitable Foundation (MSCF) on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 8:00 p.m., at Manor Lanes II in Amherst, NY.

MSCF will partner with the Buffalo City Mission for this inaugural event by hosting a coat, hat, scarf and glove drive at the event, to grant the gift of warmth to needy individuals for the winter months.

?I?m excited about the Pins for HOPE event and am very overwhelmed by the great support MSCF has received thus far," said Stroud. "We?re looking to make a strong impact in the Buffalo community with this event.?

Some of the Bills players already scheduled to attend and support the event are Marcus Buggs, Trent Edwards, Lee Evans, Spencer Johnson, Josh Reed and George Wilson.

Pins for Hope sponsors Isaac Heating and Air Conditioning, Citadel Broadcasting and Manor Lanes II are assisting the MSCF with its efforts to provide positive resources for local youth today.

The Marcus Stroud Charitable Foundation is dedicated to supporting children who face significant physical, mental and financial challenges in a single parent home. Their goal is to help enhance and enrich the lives of disadvantaged children; by establishing various academic and athletic programs otherwise unavailable to them.

All proceeds from the Pins for HOPE Bowling Fundraiser will go to MSCF.  Lane sponsorships are available and groups can make an additional donation to have Bills? players bowl on their lanes.
