Player to Watch

5 players to watch in Bills vs. Packers | Preseason Week 3

It's the final chance to make a lasting impression for some players on Buffalo's preseason roster. Final cuts to get the roster to the required 53 is Aug. 31st at 4 pm. So the game against the Packers on Saturday could truly be make or break for some.

1. DT Brandin Bryant

The defensive tackle finds himself in a last man standing type situation with Harrison Phillips and fellow reserve DT Treyvon Hester down with injuries. It could afford him an opportunity at a considerable amount of playing time Saturday to convince the powers that be that he's worthy of at least practice squad consideration.

2. LB Tyrel Dodson

The second-year backer may have some ground to make up on fellow linebackers Joe Giles-Harris and Andre Smith, who have performed admirably in camp and the preseason to this point. Dodson needs to flash his athletic playmaking and be around the ball a lot on Saturday vs. Green Bay.

3. CB Nick McCloud

The undrafted rookie has made splash plays in each of the first two preseason games. A bigger corner, McCloud has demonstrated a physical style that defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier covets. Another good showing could seal a spot on the 53-man roster.

4. WR Emmanuel Sanders

Yet to suit up in the regular season, Bills fans will get their first look at the veteran receiver addition. Saturday could be a preview of how well Sanders has blended in knowing just about every other starter on offense is back from last season.

5. CB Rachad Wildgoose

The rookie sixth-round pick has steadily improved through the course of camp and the preseason. If he continues on that trajectory Saturday he will make himself difficult for the defensive staff to ignore.
