Friday evening will mark the first time the 2023 edition of the Buffalo Bills will be on display for fans at Highmark Stadium as the annual Return of the Blue & Red practice takes place at 5:30 pm.

Below we outline a handful of players to keep an eye on during the practice session for those fans who will be in attendance.

Buffalo Bills open Training Camp at St. John Fisher University, July 26, 2023.

1. LB Tyrel Dodson

Now entering his fourth season with the Bills, Dodson is at the center of the middle linebacker competition. Performing well in matchup coverage was where he needed to demonstrate improvement and through the first week of training camp he has done so. Continuing to show leadership and command of the defense will only further enhance his chances of winning the starting job.

2. TE Dalton Kincaid

The Bills top pick has been the story of training camp. Blessed with a route-running savvy and giant, but soft hands, Kincaid has caught just about everything thrown in his direction. It's clear the offensive staff has fast-tracked him for a major role in the regular season.

Taylor Rapp (20). Buffalo Bills Training Camp at St. John Fisher University, August 1, 2023.

3. S Taylor Rapp

A coup of a free agent signing this offseason, Rapp, who was a full-time starter for the Rams in three of his four NFL seasons, is too good to keep off the field despite the presence of veteran Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde. Keep an eye on the different ways Sean McDermott and his defensive staff deploy the versatile defensive back.

Shane Ray (49). Buffalo Bills Training Camp at St. John Fisher University, July 31, 2023.

4. DE Shane Ray

After a four-year absence from the NFL, Ray is trying to carve out a role for himself as a pass rusher on Buffalo's deeply talented defensive line. Through the first week of camp Ray's play has been consistent enough to earn more reps and continue to move up the depth chart. Can he continue to impress?

O'Cyrus Torrence (64). Buffalo Bills Training Camp at St. John Fisher University, August 1, 2023.

5. G O'Cyrus Torrence

The team's second-round pick has steadily infiltrated the starting lineup at right guard. He hasn't won the job yet, but he's put himself in position to prove he deserves the role as he is the direct competition with incumbent Ryan Bates.
