There's a lot at stake for Sunday's Bills vs. Patriots matchup in Foxborough. Buffalo (9-4) will aim to keep their streak of five consecutive AFC East titles alive as New England (11-2) can clinch the division with a win.

After a snowy Week 14 win over the Bengals, the Bills have a 98% chance at reaching the playoffs, though just an 11% chance at winning the AFC East, according to the New York Times Playoff Machine.

A win over NE can increase the playoff odds to 99% and the division odds to 25%. Buffalo is not in a position to officially clinch a playoff spot just yet.

Teams in the Hunt

8. Colts (8-5)

9. Ravens (6-7)

10. Chiefs (6-7)

Who Bills Fans should root for in Week 15

Arizona Cardinals (3-10) at Houston Texans (8-5) | Sunday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m.

Who to root for: Root for the Cardinals

Why: At the No. 7 seed, Houston can pass Buffalo in the AFC Wild Card Standings with a win over Arizona, a Bills loss to New England and a Jaguars win over the Jets.

Los Angeles Chargers (9-4) at Kansas City Chiefs (6-7) Sunday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m.

Who to root for: YOUR CALL

Why you should root for the Chiefs: Even with a win, the Chiefs would still be a long-shot to make the playoffs. Their odds currently sit at 12% and would only increase to 20% with a victory. A KC win and Bills win this week would give Buffalo the No. 5 seed going into Week 16.

Why you can root for the Chargers: We won't blame any Bills fans for not wanting to see a Chiefs win — even if it mathematically makes sense. A Chargers win would mean Buffalo can not rise to the No. 5 seed this week.

A Chargers win + wins by BUF and two of HOU, IND or JAX would eliminate the Chiefs from playoff contention.

Miami Dolphins (6-7) at Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6) | Monday, Dec. 15 at 8:15 p.m.

Who to root for: Root for the Dolphins

Why: This is projecting ahead a bit, but Week 18 could have big implications for the AFC East with the Bills-Jets and Dolphins-Patriots matchups. Assuming the Patriots haven't clinched the AFC East by then, they would need to beat Miami in order to do so.

A Miami win against the Steelers in Week 15 keeps the Dolphins in the playoff hunt, at least temporarily. Keeping Miami's hopes alive for a playoff spot could be enough incentive for a competitive Week 18 battle in Foxborough.

Baltimore Ravens (6-7) at Cincinnati Bengals (4-9) | Sunday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m.

Who to root for: Root for the Bengals

Why: At the No. 9 seed and second place in their division, the Ravens have a 27% chance at making the playoffs. A loss drops those odds to 13%.

Should Pittsburgh maintain its lead in the AFC North, the Ravens could still have a slim shot at making the Wild Card if one of the three current teams stumble. A Ravens loss to Cincy ensures the Bills will finish the regular season ahead of Baltimore in record and head-to-head tie-breaker.

Best Case Scenario

A Bills win + losses by the Texans, Chargers, Steelers and Ravens would give Buffalo 99% chance to make the playoffs, a 77% chance of being a wild card team and a 24% chance to win the AFC East. Buffalo would enter Week 16 as the No. 5 seed.

Worst Case Scenario

A Bills loss + wins by the Texans, Chargers, Steelers and Ravens would give Buffalo a 96% chance to make the playoffs. New England would win the AFC East and the Bills would enter Week 16 as the No. 7 seed.
