The Buffalo Bills took a step in fortifying their defensive interior as they signed a two-year contract with free agent DT DaQuan Jones.

Jones (6-4, 320) played for the Carolina Panthers in 2021 after signing a one-year free agent deal last offseason. He registered 34 tackles, a sack and six quarterback hits last season.

Here's a list of players the Bills have signed in free agency this year.

A former fourth-round pick of the Tennessee Titans (2014), Jones was a starter in six of his seven seasons with the club. A nose tackle by trade, Jones is capable of tying up two blockers in the run front which would allow players like Ed Oliver and Tremaine Edmunds to find the ball carrier to make plays.

But Jones can also collapse the pocket against the pass as evidenced by his 23 quarterback pressures last season.

Jones is also a New York state native as he was born and raised in Johnson City, NY near Binghamton. He played his college football at Penn State.
