Friday, May 30, 2008 BILLS TO HOST BLOOD DRIVE AT STADIUMORCHARD PARK, NY - The Buffalo Bills and American Red Cross, New York-Penn Region will team up to host a Blood Drive on Friday, June 6, 2008. Presenting donors are invited to the Paul Maguire Club at Ralph Wilson Stadium from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, where the first 500 eligible presenting donors will receive a limited edition duffle bag. Free parking and refreshments will be available. Bills players will make appearances throughout the day.Bills tight end Robert Royal and quarterback Trent Edwards will sign autographs and encourage fans to donate blood during one of the most crucial times of the year. Throughout the summer months, when blood supply is needed the most, there is a higher demand for donors. There is only one source for blood; the stability and availability of the blood supply depends on members of our community to roll up their sleeves and donate. All current eligible and new donors are urged to schedule an appointment today by calling 1-800-GIVE LIFE (1-800-448-3543) or visiting www.DonateBloodNow.org. Anyone 17 years or older, weighing at least 110 pounds and in general good health may be eligible to donate blood. In New York State, 16-year-olds may donate blood provided they bring an original signed New York State Informed Parental Permission. The consent form can be found at www.DonateBloodNow.org/16. Identification is required at the time of donation to give blood.
