1. ESPN draft analyst: Bills need a difference-maker
In the latest episode of ESPN’s First Draft podcast, NFL draft expert Todd McShay broke down the draft needs for all four AFC East teams.
For the Bills, McShay believes Buffalo needs to draft a difference-maker and pin points wide receivers DK Metcalf out of Ole Miss or the speedy Marquise Brown from Oklahoma for the Bills at the ninth spot.
"I would like to get a vertical receiver for a guy like Josh Allen who has an arm like very few in the league and can exploit you defensively. He can make some throws like very few in the league can make," McShay said.
The reason for a vertical threat is the comparison between the connection of Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown of Pittsburgh. Roethlisberger is able to extend plays the same way that Josh Allen can. A deep threat with Buffalo could see bigger plays and create longer drives. Of course, Buffalo might not have to draft an Antonio Brown and trade for him instead with his recent turmoil with the Steelers.
2. CBS NFL analyst gives the Bills an 'A' grade for these 2018 personnel moves
CBS NFL reporter Jason La Canfora graded every single quarterback move from 2018, including the Bills trading Tyrod Taylor to the Browns, AJ McCarron to the Raiders and moving up to draft Josh Allen.
The Bills received an 'A' grade for trading Taylor and a 'B' for drafting Allen. La Canfora wrote the following on the Taylor trade.
They got one of the first picks in the third round for a QB they were clearly moving on from and who lost his job to, gulp, Nathan Peterman at one point. The Ravens couldn't get more than a fourth-rounder for a former Super Bowl MVP and the Chiefs got a third-round pick for (Alex) Smith in a year in which he played like an MVP candidate for three months. For a team that would be exhausting draft capital to move up and takeJosh Allenthis was big.
Allen showed immense progress this season for Buffalo but will still need to put in work this offseason to get even better. La Canfora said that Allen "brought energy to the huddle and his teammates rallied around him."
The Bills received another 'A' grade for trading AJ McCarron to Raiders for a fifth-round pick. To get anything above a sixth or seventh round pick for McCarron was very well done says La Canfora.

With White in attendance the Mudbugs' goalie Leo Chuard recorded a 34-save shutout as they went on to defeated the Amarillo Bulls 2-0 on Saturday night.
