1. The Athletic thinks this Bills draft pick will make the biggest impact

The Bills addressed the need for edge rushers early in the 2021 NFL Draft. Buffalo selected Greg Rousseau in the first round then followed that up by taking Boogie Basham in the second round. The NFL writers over at The Athletic put out a list of which draft picks from each team would make the biggest impact in year one. For the Bills, beat writer Matthew Fairburn thinks that Basham will have a bigger impact but foresees Rousseau having more long-term potential.

Buffalo Bills: [Boogie] Basham, Wake Forest, Edge

While first-round pick Greg Rousseau has more long-term potential, the Bills might get more out of second-round pick Carlos Basham Jr. as a rookie. Rousseau only has one full year of college football on his résumé and opted out of the 2020 season. Basham Jr., meanwhile, had 35.5 tackles for loss and 20.5 sacks in 45 college games at Wake Forest.

He may not be an every-down defensive end right away, but Basham Jr.'s ability to slide inside to three-technique defensive tackle could help him find early production. The Bills drafted with an eye toward the future, but Basham Jr. is ready to see the field now. — Matthew Fairburn

2. These Bills moves made FOX Sports' top 10 moments of the draft list

Every NFL Draft has its certain moments that will be remembered forever, and this past draft had its special moments. Fox Sports NFL Draft analyst Rob Rang put together a list of the top 10 memorable moments from the 2021 NFL Draft. The Bills picking up a pair of offensive tackles both taller than 6-8 with notable speed came in at number two on his list.

2. Bills' speedy offensive tackles worth noting

While Detroit is building a bruising mentality, this mindset already exists in Buffalo, with a franchise that – like Cleveland – appears to have taken another step toward a Super Bowl run with its 2021 draft class. I highlighted the interesting duo of defensive linemen drafted by the Bills in yesterday's Day 2 takeaways, but it's a new set of "twins" on the offensive side of the ball on Day 3 who could play a surprising role for the Bills moving forward.

3. NFL.com had this final thought about the Bills draft class

With this year's draft in the books, the optimism for every team's chances for success is at the highest point of the offseason. Around the NFL editor, Gregg Rosenthal put out his honest post-draft thoughts about all 32 teams. For the Bills, he noted that it wasn't a shock that the team addressed the defensive end position early and infused some fresh blood into the group.

It shouldn't have been a surprise that the Bills went with edge rushers Gregory Rousseau (No. 30) and Carlos Basham (61) with their first two picks. The Bills' defensive line has calcified and needed some fresh blood. …
