Get to know these 7 Bills undrafted free agents

The Bills have announced they've come to terms with seven undrafted rookie free agents from the 2023 NFL Draft Class ahead of rookie minicamp.

DT DJ Dale, Alabama — 6'0, 300—Dale was a four-year player with the Crimson Tide and was one of the team's starting defensive linemen for the 2021 National Championship victory over Ohio State. In his senior season last year, Dale started 12 games and racked up 17 tackles, 2.5 sacks and one fumble recovery. He is from Birmingham, AL and was a four-star recruit out of high school.

T Richard Gouraige, Florida — 6'5, 306 — Gouraige was the Gators' starting left tackle in the 2022 season where he played with Bills second-round pick G O'Cyrus Torrence. Gouraige made 13 starts at LT in 2022 and 12 starts in 2021. In high school at Cambridge Christian, Gouraige was a multi-sport athlete where he played both offensive and defensive line for the football team, and he averaged 6.4 points per game on the basketball team. He made the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll list three times during his college career and majored in Sociology.

WR Braydon Johnson, Oklahoma State — 5'11, 195 — Johnson is a speedy wide receiver out of Arlington, TX where he made 10 starts in his final season with the Cowboys. He hauled in seven catches that gained at least 40 yards, sixth-most in the FBS in 2022. Johnson set career-highs last season in both catches (32) and yards (566). For his career, he finished with 16.6 yards per catch and three 100-yard receiving games.

RB Jordan Mims, Fresno State – 5'10, 200 – Mims was named a first-team All-Mountain West running back during his senior season. In his final year with Fresno State, the RB led the team with over 1,000 rushing yards, scored 13 rushing touchdowns and averaged almost 100 rushing yards per game. He totaled 596 carries for 2,856 rushing yards, 31 rushing touchdowns, 78 catches for 870 receiving yards and seven TD receptions during his 50 games played at Fresno State. Mims is from East Palo Alto, CA.

WR Tyrell Shavers, San Diego State – 6'6, 210 – Shavers was named second-team All- Mountain West during his final year with SDSU. Before playing for the Aztecs from 2021 to 2022, the WR played for Mississippi State in 2020 and Alabama from 2017 to 2019. During his two seasons at SDSU, Shavers had 56 catches for 856 receiving yards and picked up five receiving touchdowns. The WR also played on special teams at SDSU and returned three blocked punts for touchdowns over his career. Shavers is from Lewisville, Texas.

WR Bryan Thompson, Arizona State – 6'3, 200 – Thompson played in 22 games for the Sun Devils from 2021 to 2022. During those seasons, the WR racked up 38 receptions for 507 receiving yards and averaged 13.3 yards per catch. Before playing with ASU, Thompson was on Utah's roster from 2017 to 2020 and played in 33 games. The WR is from Moreno Valley, CA.

WR Jalen Wayne, South Alabama –6'2, 210 – Wayne played in 61 games for South Alabama from 2017 to 2022. In his final season with the Jaguars, the WR posted 58 catches for 815 receiving yards and caught nine touchdowns. He racked up 152 receptions for 1,978 receiving yards and scored 14 touchdowns during his collegiate career. Wayne is a cousin of former NFL star receiver Reggie Wayne. The WR is from Spanish Fort, AL.
