"This is an effort by all of these partners to ensure that we are filling a gap for the need of the community that has been devastated by this attack on black folks," Council Member Ulysees Wingo said during a press conference at the CAO Masten Resource Center.

As a community, it is so important to do what we can to help support and uplift those in need. This targeted attack was rooted in hate. The best way to counter that is by showing love for our fellow community members who need it the most.

"What's really neat for Buffalo, we talk about being the city of good neighbors," Rev. Terry King, Board Chair of the Resource Council of WNY said. "This is that response, and we can come together as agencies working in partnership to give back to the community at such a time as this."
