The clock is winding down on the NFL offseason as things rev up for training camp in just a few weeks.

As the start of camp inches closer, ESPN is ranking the top players across the league, surveying executives, coaches and scouts. On Monday, ESPN released the ranking of the top 10 quarterbacks and Bills QB Josh Allen took the crown with the No. 1 spot.

One NFL general manager told ESPN that Allen is, "the most singularly unstoppable player at the position when you get his A-game. And he has cut down on the turnovers the past two seasons."

Over the last two seasons, Allen has combined for 80 total touchdowns in the regular season (passing, rushing, receiving). He's the only NFL player in history with at least 200 passing touchdowns and 50 rushing touchdowns. He's the youngest player in NFL history to reach 300 career touchdowns.

An additional note from ESPN shared that multiple opposing coaches believe new Bills head coach Joe Brady — Allen's offensive coordinator the last two seasons — has been instrumental in "streamlining Allen's game".

Last year, Allen was ranked as the No. 2 QB despite winning the 2024 NFL MVP. Another year of dominant production in 2025 was enough to catapult him to the top spot.

James Cook named top 10 RB

Staying with offseason polls, last week ESPN surveyed the league for top 10 running backs. Bills RB James Cook, the 2025 rushing champion, checked in at No. 7.

"He has a three-down skill set, pass-game value, inside run ability and a speed threat on the outside," an AFC executive told ESPN. "[He] has become a complete player."

Cook set a career-best with 1,621 rushing yards in 2025, also totaling 12 rushing touchdowns. He has over 3,000 scrimmage yards (rushing + receiving) over the last two regular seasons and 32 total touchdowns.

In 2025, Cook recorded nine games with over 100 rushing yards, 12 games with over 100 scrimmage yards and nine games with at least one touchdown.
