Former Buffalo WR Stevie Johnson will bring the energy to Highmark Stadium as the Legend of the Game Thursday night when the Bills welcome the Miami Dolphins for a primetime matchup.

"This is special to me, and it's special to a lot of players that are retired," Johnson said. "To be able to come back and be around the current stars, and then to get back connected with the community. I'm always looking forward to coming back around the city."

Johnson, a wide receiver for the Bills from 2008-13, recorded 301 receptions for 3,832 yards in 76 games. Johnson is no stranger to pumping up Bills Mafia, having been a Legend of the Game during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He believes this one will be special, too given the last season at the current Highmark Stadium.

"It just means a lot, especially with it being the last time to do the chant in current Highmark. It's special in his own just for that simple reason," he said.

Johnson is still heavily involved with community events in Buffalo and frequently comes back for fan events as well. Earlier this year, Johnson and ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter sat down for the first time in Bills history to chat on the inception of "Bills Mafia" and all things Buffalo Bills.

"Buffalo is like none other. They've embraced me through the highs. Obviously, you you want to embrace a player when they do good, but I also had low times there and the community still embraces me. That's where my loyalty stands with the Buffalo Bills. The Bills Mafia community is through that loyalty," Johnson said.

Get to Highmark Stadium early Thursday night to hear Johnson lead the charge and hype up the crowd before the AFC East showdown.

ESPN Senior NFL Insider, Adam Schefter and Buffalo Bills Legend, Stevie Johnson sat down for the first time in Bills history to chat on the inception of "Bills Mafia" and all things Buffalo Bills. The event, presented by Labatt, featured Bills Mafia co-founder Del Reid, as well as plenty of anecdotes from Schefter and Johnson about the 2025 NFL Draft, Buffalo's hopes to host a Draft, new Highmark Stadium, and their favorite Buffalo Bills memories from over the years.
