Flag Football and More at the Play 60 Charged Up by Wegmans Kickoff Event | Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills kicked off the second year of the Play 60 Charged Up by Wegmans program on Tuesday, November 4, at Churchville Chili Middle School with a fun filled Play 60 Kickoff Event led by various Buffalo Bills players, alumni, and Billy Buffalo. The day included a pep rally, hallway parade, and a flag football clinic.

Special thanks to representatives from Wegmans, BestSelf, the American Heart Association, and Project Play in attendance to support the program.

The idea of an allergen-friendly food drive came from a conversation Wegmans had with Head Coach Sean McDermott's wife, Jamie. They have kids with food allergies and know the challenges families face, and those challenges are even greater for families facing food-insecurity as well. Leveraging the personal connection with the McDermott family can bring even more awareness to this need.

The spectacular evening was dedicated to honoring Black History Month by celebrating the resilience, creativity, and influence of Black fashion through the ages. Black Carpet II spotlit contemporary designs, talent, and the richness of Black culture, while paying tribute to the trailblazing journey of Black fashion. The night also highlighted and celebrated 10 distinguished Black Icons — influential leaders across various fields in Buffalo — with special awards, recognizing their invaluable contributions to the community.

Bills Safety Micah Hyde's Imagine For Youth Foundation held its annual Kicks for Kids event at Lackawanna High School.

Safety Damar Hamlin along with U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announce plans to bring to the Senate floor legislation to help put AEDs in schools and make CPR training more accessible across America. Hamlin and Schumer have been working together to create a new federal program to put more AEDs in schools. Now Schumer is launching their final push as he will bring the bipartisan Cardiomyopathy Health Education, Awareness, Research and Training in Schools (HEARTS) Act to the floor for passage so it can become law.
