Monday marks the first padded practice of training camp. Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced several players won't participate in the fifth training camp practice.
McDermott said RT Spencer Brown, OL Sedrick Van Pran-Granger, WR Tyrell Shavers, WR Curtis Samuel, LB Terrel Bernard, LB Dorian Williams, WR Elijah Moore, WR Kaden Prather, TE Dalton Kincaid and TE Dawson Knox will not practice.
"It's not ideal, especially with the names that are on there," McDermott said. "So, you're trying to move the team forward and develop, but it also allows an opportunity for us to see somebody step in and do the job. So, that's just the nature of the of the of having the injuries that we do."
Shavers, who was injured during Sunday's practice, avoided a serious injury.
"Tyrell with his ankle," McDermott said of his injury. "Doesn't seem to be serious so it looks like we're in decent shape."
Kincaid is also dealing with a leg issue.
"Dalton with knee soreness after yesterday's practice," McDermott shared.
McDermott said kicker Tyler Bass might miss practice.
"T-Bass has a little bit of a pelvis area soreness, so we are dealing with that," McDermott said. "He may or may not be out there."
Post-practice update: Bass did not practice Monday.
