The Bills have placed defensive end Michael Hoecht on Injured Reserve. Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced Hoecht is out for the season due to suffering a torn Achilles against the Chiefs on Sunday.

The DE saw action in just two games in 2025 but was a force in them. Hoecht had two sacks, one forced fumble, two quarterback hits and one tackle for loss in his two appearances this season.

McDermott said Hoecht is disappointed to be done for the season.

"He's looked forward to these moments because he was out earlier in the year with his suspension," McDermott said. "To get off to such a fiery start and impact the team in such an influential way in such a short amount of time, when you go through a situation like that it's a natural disappointment. It's a shame, it really is…He is as tough as they come and it's important that we support him all the way through this."

The DE signed a three-year deal with the Bills on March 14. This season marked his fifth year in the league.
